A Replacement Solution for Jumbo-Style Cartridges in Wine Filtration
A food & beverage customer recently contacted us for a compatible replacement solution for Sartorius Jumbo Star PP structure cartridges used in wine and process liquid filtration.
The application required:
• stable filtration performance
• high dirt holding capacity
• food-grade material compatibility
• low pressure drop during continuous operation
Based on the actual process condition, we provided a compatible PP multi-layer depth filtration cartridge structure for:
• wine pre-filtration
• process liquid filtration
• food & beverage liquid filtration
The graded pore structure helps contaminants load gradually from upstream to downstream instead of concentrating too quickly on the outer surface.
This structure is designed to improve:
• dirt holding capacity
• flow stability
• cartridge service life
• predictable ΔP behavior
The replacement cartridge was designed to match the existing Jumbo-style cartridge format and installation interface, helping the customer avoid housing modification.
In wine and beverage filtration, the challenge is not only particle removal. Stable flow, dirt loading behavior, and predictable ΔP increase are often more important than simply selecting a tighter micron rating.
