HSF Series Stainless Steel Fiber Sintered Felt Filter Cartridge

HSF Series Stainless Steel Fiber Sintered Felt Filter Cartridge

HSF series stainless steel fiber felt pleated filter cartridges are made of stainless steel fiber felt, which, after being pleated, has a large filtration area (more than 3 times that of equivalent cylindrical tubular filter cartridges). Stainless steel fiber felt is a porous deep-layer filtration material made of stainless steel fibers sintered at high temperatures, featuring a large filtration area, high absolute filtration efficiency, high porosity, and high dirt-holding capacity.

FAQ

Q1: What are the primary materials of construction for the HSF series filter cartridges?

A: The HSF series is constructed entirely from durable stainless steel to ensure maximum reliability. The inner/outer support frames and end caps are made of SUS 304/316 stainless steel. The core filtration layer utilizes a highly efficient stainless steel fiber sintered felt, which is securely supported by 30-mesh or 40-mesh stainless steel woven protective and lining meshes.

Q2: How does the sintered felt media combined with a pleated design improve performance?

A: Sintered stainless steel fiber felt is a porous depth filter material formed at high temperatures, offering exceptionally high porosity (70% to 85%) and superior dirt-holding capacity. When combined with our meticulously pleated design, it delivers more than three times the effective surface area of standard cylindrical filters (up to 0.76 m² for a 40-inch cartridge). This synergy guarantees high absolute filtration efficiency, higher flow rates, and a significantly extended operational lifespan.

Q3: Are the dimensions and filtration micron ratings customizable?

A: Yes, we provide flexible customization to meet your system specifications. The standard outer diameter is 65mm (fully customizable), with standard lengths ranging from 5″ (127mm) up to 40″ (1016mm). We offer precise micron ratings depending on the fluid:

  • Liquid Micron Rating: 3µm, 5µm, 10µm, 15µm, 20µm, 25µm, 30µm, 40µm, and 60µm.

  • Gas Micron Rating: 0.5µm, 1µm, 2µm, 3µm, 10µm, 16µm, 20µm, 30µm, and 45µm.

Q4: What are the typical industrial applications for the HSF series?

A: Because of its robust metal construction and depth filtration capabilities, the HSF series is engineered for demanding industrial environments. Key applications include:

  • Filtration of high-temperature and high-pressure liquids and gases

  • Steam filtration and ozone water filtration

  • Filtration of viscous liquids, strong polar solvents, and oxidative/corrosive liquids

  • Decarbonization filtration of liquid materials

Q5: How do you verify the permeability and flow performance of these cartridges?

A: Our HSF cartridges undergo rigorous standardized testing to ensure accurate technical specifications. The Permeability Test is fully compliant with ISO 4022 (with average permeability precisely determined at 200Pa air pressure). Furthermore, all baseline filtration tests—evaluating flow rates and dirt-holding capacity—are conducted on a standard 65mm diameter, 10-inch cartridge at a pressure of 1.0 bar and a liquid viscosity of 1 CP·S to ensure consistent, industrial-grade reliability.
